Has anyone heard of the engine's computer going out in the 2002 toyota Camry?

I need to find a engine for a 2002 Toyota Camry, 2.4L enginge 4 cylinder? Are there any other specifics I need to know before buying the engine?
I mean

no it doesn't have anything to do with the engine its the car verification number.
